Twitter has become an interesting place to build a community. The use of hash tags are increasingly being used to identify similar interests, track conversations around a particular issue or topic and also give conference attendees a way to interact online and off.
Twitter can cause quite stir for many reasons but it's usually when it's to blame for flash mobs or because a planned by twitter snow ball fight on 14th and Ust in Washington D.C. resulted in a conflict with an off duty cop that people take notice.
