aggregating my content in the social web
The challenges with the social web and the aggregation of content is that there isn't a simple way to do it at this point. There are a lot of social media tools and various apps but they may not all be connected to you. Here is an example:
I don't follow @UXfeeder on twitter. It is an rss feed sent to twitter. It's using Delicious as in addition to a url shorter. The content was a blog post from the NY times, however my name was chosen to be included in the this tweet. There was no reference to my twitter handle so it didn't show up in my feed. If my name was abbreviated I would have missed it in my alerts.
Another example is a tweet I sent during the Gov20Expo during @GaryVee 's talk. It was retweeted by someone who follows me:
Gary Vee saw the tweet but responded to @nahumg below:
Since my name wasn't included the response and further dialogue or content was lost. I would of had no knowledge of his response to my tweet.
This is the nature of social media there is plenty of content and conversations that are had about your ideas or you specifically but unless you (your business or org) are also looking for or trying aggregate it you will miss most of it.
